Four Rescued Alive In Lagos Helicopter Crash

Four occupants of a helicopter that crashed in front of a United Bank for Africa (UBA) branch in the Ikeja area of Lagos State, have been rescued alive.

In a statement on Tuesday, the spokesman of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos, Gboyega Akosile said the four occupants were retrieved from the aircraft alive.

Akosile disclosed that the four casualties have been transferred to the hospital for further care and treatment.

He added that the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) and the Lagos Fire Service are on the ground at the site of the incident.

He wrote: “The helicopter containing 4 persons including the pilot crash landed in front of the UBA branch in Ikeja.

“All four casualties have been retrieved from the aircraft alive. They have been transferred to the hospital for further care. LASEMA, Lagos Fire Service on the ground.

Naija News earlier reported that the helicopter crash happened around 3.30pm on Tuesday.

According to the spokesman of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Ibrahim Farinloye, the operator of the helicopter is not known yet.

There were two white men and two black men on board. Three craters on the spot created by impacts on the ground,” he said.
